The History of Erskine Parish Church

Erskine came to being in the 1970s when Renfrewshire Council along with Scottish Special Housing Association (S.S.H.A) planned the commuter town as a joint venture between the public and private sector.

New Erskine Parish Church started in a block of flats at Bargarran in 1972 and later moved to the primary school for a short time whilst a church was being built, at Rashielee.

The church celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary in 2022.

The present church was opened in 1977.
