Job Description

This role is key to the smooth operating of church life from week to week. You will
report to the minister and work closely with other committees in the church when
they have need to communicate to a wider audience online.

You will be responsible for creating and managing a lot of the church's online output, with a collaborative and supportive relationship with the comms team.

This is a hybrid post - mostly working from home with some photocopying / printing at the church required.

Candidates who are successful in securing an interview will be given a short practical exercise to demonstrate their abilities, ahead of the interview.

Organisation
Erskine Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation with over 200
members and weekly worshippers numbering about 100.

We have many different groups within our church life, everything from Bible study, fitness classes to kids and toddler and other community groups. We exist primarily to preach the good news about Jesus as found in the Scriptures, and also have a strong ethos of providing loving service to our community wherever we can. We are governed by a group of male and female elders who are responsible for all high level decision
making.

Essential Qualities

• IT literacy ( confident using MS Office, converting files etc)
• Good and accurate writing skills
• Competence in using and creating content across social media platforms (
  Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Canva)
• Creativity and initiative
• Ability to work well with others
• Reasonably flexible schedule for one off tasks that are time sensitive

Desirable Qualities

• Evidence of previous creation of marketing materials

Hours & Rate of Pay

The post is advertised for 8 hours, or 2 x half days per week.
The rate of pay is above National Minimum Wage so as to be competitive.
